BPAL Wishlist
Flist, feel free to ignore this post. I just need to get a BPAL wishlist up, since people keep asking me and I'm tired of going all ghetto by posting my c/ped notes from Word into an LJ comment.

General:
Notes I like: grapefruit, vanilla, grass/dandelions, carnation, sugary musks (like Smut and Dorian), light/airy scents, apple (fresh apples and cider, but not so much apple blossom), Asian scents (like Aizen-Myoo and Holiday Moon), tea, ginger, foody (although not as much since my pregnancy -- apparently, my hormones are looking out for my bank account), white musk, sunflower, amber as long as it doesn't go powdery (blonde amber, as in Berenice, seems to be a real winner here, and the Nepalese amber in L'Estate is wonderful as well)

Favorite scents: Hungry Ghost Moon, Berenice, L'Estate, La Primavera, L'Autunno, Snow White, Smut, Morocco, Dorian, Aizen-Myoo, Holiday Moon, Kindly Moon, Empyreal Mist, Pink Moon 2007, Budding Moon, Harvest Moon (all vintages), NIFSA: Ebisu Making Love as Two Octopuses Look On, Creepy, Snow Glass Apples, Midway, The Crumpet Rebellion

Dislikes: patchouli, vetiver, most lavender scents, most wood scents, earthy/dark/dirty scents, smoke, myrrh (unless it’s just hiding in the background), heavy florals, heavy scents in general, aquatics, lemon/lime/verbena as the predominant note (I amp these like crazy and end up with a wristful of Lemon Pledge), jasmine and gardenia (most of the time), very dry and/or hot scents

I got your package today, and...wow, you know my scent preferences way too well. The Honey Tea scent is amazing. I have a number of imp-sized samples from Woobie, but none of them has made me go, "Whoa, OK, I love that" the way Honey Tea did. And the teas you sent are AWESOME. Where did you get them, especially the orange mint one?

You should try their scents in a shampoo or bubble bath or the like; far better than as just the oil. Woobie'll never be my fave etailer but they have some great products. I forget if Honey Tea is LE or GC... it'd make a great shampoo!

hcolleen sent me the teas, about twice as much of each as I sent you, so I figured I'd share the wealth. And when I saw "orange mint" I know I had to tuck some in for you! I figured it would make much nicer padding than bubblewrap. Enjoy!

I just checked, and Honey Tea was from Summer 08, so that sounds like LE to me. Awwww. :( Do you have any recommended GC scents for shampoo from there?

Snake Moon and I tried both teas last night, and they are SO GOOD! I'm going to have to look up the orange mint one to buy more. The funny thing is, orange is the one citrus variation that I'm not usually a huge fan of, but it was so so so good in that tea. You rock! &hearts Please thank hcolleen for me as well! :)

There's a pure honey scent called Oh, Honey, and then there is Vanilla Tea, which is yummy. I tried Vanilla Tea as a shampoo and it was wonderful. I bet Vanilla Tea shampoo and Oh, Honey conditioner would be a great combo!

Ooh, that does sound yummy. I have to say, I was a huge honey fan until (oddly enough) BPAL came along. Now, whenever I see honey, I'm like, "Hmmmm, that's probably going to go rancid on me." Which is so not the case -- I need to get out of the BPAL honey mindset!

It's really interesting, the way different perfumers' creations vary. I haven't had good luck with BPAL's honey either, sadly, but I adore their resins. But Conjure Oils, who does the most amazing fruit scents I've encountered, makes resins that don't really do it for me! In my experience, Woobie's scents aren't something I'd necessarily wear straight, but they make for wonderfully luxurious products.
