Harry Potter vs. Twilight
From sea_thoughts:

Behold the sparkly beauty of this Harry Potter vs. Twilight comic. The part where Harry's all, "Come back and see me again when members of your fandom marry people on the astral plane" was perfect. Perhaps there is a TwiMom who is considering doing just that, but it will be hard to top the Snapewives.

Snapewives sound awesome.

Oh, man, that wank was glorious. I only followed it tangentially while it was happening, but I recently went back and read parts of it in their full glory, and it was a thing of beauty. It's hard to get crazier than that, and believe me, HP fandom is batshit crazy.

... The last panel is so the best.

I'd never even heard about the Snapewives until now. Oh. My. God.

But do not underestimate the Twihards and their love for anything Edward Cullen. Let's just say I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED.

And I'm so happy you're spreading the love for that fanart.

The Snapewives just might be the craziest people in HP fandom. Not even Caina and her fellow Harmoanians match up. But yes, I'm sure the Twihards are working on cultivating Cullenwives or the equivalent. Maybe the crazy YouTube girl will be one of them, although I think she's probably more of an SMeyer fangirl than anything else.

Ah the craziness, what I have missed...

Speaking of, you've been kind of quiet these days. Things going well over in Malfoy Manor? :)

Very well indeed, lots of drives in the new car, trips to the beach, Salem, just generally being out in nature this time of year. Oh, and in the HP realm We've registered for Azkatraz and have started formal plans for the new costumes.

How about you?

Ooh, glad you're out and about so much and enjoying the new car, which I'm dying to call the Malfoymobile. :) Sounds like a really nice way to end the summer.

Ah yes, I do need to do the registration for Azkatraz. *reminds self to get on it*

I've just been hanging around, not doing a whole lot of anything (well, aside from taking care of the wee one, which is, you know, 95% of my time :) ). She's becoming more and more fun and interactive, which is awesome. Babbling, making primitive attempts to crawl, that sort of thing. We're trying to do more fun mini-day-trips with her now that she notices stuff, like going apple and pumpkin picking. Of course, New England rules for that sort of thing, but MD/DC/VA hold their own!

It IS the MalfoyMobile, it's a beautiful beast.

Get on it Missy!

I like the MD/DC/VA area a lot, beautiful climate, fantastic springs.

Rule number one of Harry Potter Fandom: You do not get crazier than Harry Potter Fandom.

Rule number two oh Harry Potter Fandom: YOU DO NOT GET CRAZIER THAN HARRY POTTER FANDOM.

After the Snapewives and Ms Scribe, even the LotR Tinhats seem kind of rational.
