Yee-fuckin'-haw, I'm going to Lumos, baby!  
So I went ahead and ponied up for a transferred Lumos ticket. Yes, I paid more than I would have had I registered before the tickets were sold out, but I suppose I deserve it for being dumb like that. Anyway, what matters is that I'm going to Lumos, baby!

Hahaha, I love your icon! Except for me, registration was quite a bit more than $125. *is a total sucker*

Now I have to buy a Gryffindor tie...and one of Michelle's wands...and the hotel room, flight, and who knows what else. *headdesk*

thank you! i made it ages ago :). yeah, i was lucky that i decided so early and could get the discount price for registration.

i need a tie and robes. i have a wand and a bed :). you should ask nqdonne if starrysummer has room or if anyone else has. i'm sure something will open up!

What House are you in?

I actually do have a wand, but Michelle's are much cooler, so....

nqdonne actually did mention something about someone having space in a hotel room, so hopefully that will work out.

Wait, they put you into Houses at Lumos? I think we're talking about two different things. I was talking about which House you self-identify with and thus will buy robes and a tie for. Obviously, because I am somewhat of a Hermione lookalike, I'm a Gryffindor. Actually, just like Hermione, I'm pretty sure I'm sort of a borderline Gryffindor/Ravenclaw, but the best Sorting test out there put me in Gryffindor.

But they also Sort you at Lumos? *is confused*

yeah, i think they do! i don't think it means all that much, but they do.

you make a good hermione :). i should take that test. i've only taken one so far and i don't think it was the most in-depth one.

What do the Lumos people base the House assignments on? Is it just random?

The test was fun. Long, but fun. It was the only decent one I ran across. I took some of the short, lamer ones, and they kept putting me in Ravenclaw...which I was fine with, but the tests themselves were ass, so I couldn't trust them.

Yeah...I have a history of using credit cards to pay for things I cannot afford. It's not a good habit, and I don't recommend it. But it does enable me to do lots of fun stuff...that I will be paying for for the rest of my life!

the hundred bucks are from back when i thought my costume designer friend could make robes for me, but she doesn't have time, so i hope to cut down the cost of those! but yeah, i can only afford this by having split the total up over nearly an entire year.

BTW, you can get robes for fairly cheap off of places like buycostume.com. I think my Gryffindor robes were only like $25 or $30. I don't recall exactly where I got it from, but it was a retailer that came up pretty quickly from a Google search, IIRC.
