HP sorting suggestions?

Before I go play around in iMovie, I have a question: Anyone know a good, comprehensive HP sorting quiz? One that's sort of longish, maybe, so that I can feel like it's really analyzed me? I'm pretty sure I'm borderline Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and my curiosity is getting the best of me. I once did one of those combo sorting quizzes and got Gryffinclaw. But I want to do one with the real Hogwarts houses, not with combos.

I've thought of applying to the Hogwarts_Elite sorting community, just to see where I'd fall. But the sorting process is really wanky. Worse, from what I hear, once you get through that, the wank disappears and it's nothing but fun and TONS of activities with which to occupy yourself. Yeah, that's the LAST thing I need: more distractions.

Maybe over the summer.

I'm such a sucka.

OK, all of the hell I went through with the computer today was SOOOO FUCKING WORTH IT. iMovie is so much fun, and I can say that, after having been at it for all of less than half an hour, I absolutely love making fan films!

I have two that I'm dying to make from GoF footage--one a Cedric tribute to "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", by Green Day, and the other a celebration of hot HP men (especially those who fall from trees) to "It's Raining Men", by The Weather Girls.

ZOMG noe wun better be stealin my ideas LULZ!!!1!!!87!1

But for now, because all I have loaded is the first 9 minutes of PoA, I'm putting together a film version of my ongoing WIP fan fic "Yellow" (to Coldplay's "Yellow", of course). It's just a start to the film; I need all of the PoA footage to complete it. But it's making me happy and helping me learn about how to use iMovie.

BTW, if anyone's wondering what's the deal with "Yellow", I'm still working on it; it's still very much my heart and soul. But between going to the UK, all this LJ/Fandom_Wank/other fandom procrastination, grad school (yes, I do occasionally do some grad school work..."occasionally" being the operative word here), crack!fic plot bunnies, and a Sirius/Sirius/Sirius crack!fic one-shot I'm working on for a challenge on the black_family comm, I've been distracted. And I think that's a good thing, actually, because I think I needed to step back from "Yellow" for a bit. The Black family tree information from February threw a few wrenches into the works for my Chapter 4, and I think it'll have been helpful for me to approach it with a fresh eye when I get back to it sometime next week. In addition, I hit kind of a block during a conversation between Sirius and Bellatrix, and again, I think I needed some distance in order to get a new perspective.

Anyway, yay for iMovie! And yay for me!

Harry Potter Sorting

I took a couple of the lamer HP sorting quizzes earlier today. These weren't the lamest of the lame--you know, the ones that ask which animal you like better, what your favorite Hogwarts class is, which movie you like better, etc.--but were still kind of cheesy. They asked stuff like, "If you found a wallet on the street with no ID and a little bit of money, what would you do?" And then the answers were all pretty much things I wouldn't really do, so I had to pick the least bad choice. (Something is dreadfully wrong with "least bad," but I can't be arsed to figure out just what that is.)

The lame quizzes kept sticking me in Hufflepuff. I'm pretty sure I'm no Hufflepuff. I have no problem with Hufflepuff. I just don't think I am a Hufflepuff. I'm way too stubborn, independent minded, and analytical for Hufflepuff. If anything, I think I'm more of a Slytherin than a Hufflepuff. Do you think I should keep ending every sentence in this paragraph with Hufflepuff?

Then I took this test that's actually for scientific research. I suspect they put a Harry Potter Sorting spin on it to get people to spend time being guinea pigs for them. It had over 100 statements, and you had to rate each statement on a scale from 1 to 9, where 1 indicates that the statement is extremely uncharacteristic for you and 9 indicates that it's extremely characteristic for you. So, very comprehensive and scientific. Me likey.

The results?

Gryffindor: 98% compatibility
Ravenclaw: 89% compatibility
Hufflepuff: 90% compatibility
Slytherin: 29% compatibility

So mainly, I'm not a Slytherin. I'm a bit surprised, though, that Gryffindor came out on top. I really thought Ravenclaw might win out. Not that I was "pushing" Ravenclaw (OMG SQUIB!)--nothing of the sort. But I was just kind of shocked that Gryffindor had such a strong result. Also, I am a bit surprised at the low compatibility with Slytherin, because I can be pretty damn ruthless at times.

Well, cool. Unless someone can suggest a better quiz, I declare myself a Gryffindor.
