I got soul, but I'm not a soldier

At The Killers concert. Brandon Flowers is very David Bowie-esque, very dramatic. He'd be the dude who got all the lead parts in the high school musicals, but you'd shake your head and go, "Nah, he's not the rock star type. Way too Broadway." And yet it works. And thank goodness the pornstache is gone.

And you like Bowie, too????
OMG - I know this post is old, but I went back and saw that you mentioned Bowie.

(He's my #1B, as Gary Oldman is my #1A)

Actually, I don't know a whole lot of Bowie, but I guess I've been exposed to enough of him to have subconsciously recognized when he's influenced another artist. I was quite thrilled to have found out after the fact that Brandon Flowers actually does consider David Bowie to have the key influence in his music: "While listening to the radio in his car after his very first college class, Flowers heard the song “Changes” by David Bowie. He fell in love with the piece and realized he wanted to be part of the music industry." Go me!

Bowie did have quite a bulge in Labyrinth.... ;)
