I nominate this woman to draw the chapter art for Book Seven!
This drawing of all of the characters in the Harry Potter canon is mindblowing. Please visit it and tell the artist how wonderful she is.

I'm loving my new icons! They're much more fun than my silly mug.

She's fabulous. And quite a big name within the fandom. Have you looked at her website? More fabulousness:

That big picture of all the characters really takes the cake!

I like your new icon!

I had seen some of her work in people's avatars, but hadn't really put two and two together that it was the same artist doing tons of incredible pictures. Her pictures are so accurate. They're just how I imagined all of the characters. I'm not really into fan art, but she just may change that.

Since you're familiar with her work, maybe you can answer this. There's an icon out there that I believe uses her art. It flashes various pictures of R/Hr and H/G, with the words "All your OTP are belong to Weasley." I saw it a while ago (maybe on Fandom Wank), and now I really want it for my own. Any idea where I might get it (as well as any other Marauders--especially Sirius--icons)? And in general, where could I find icons made from Marta's art? I'm still learning my way around fandom. :) Any info is greatly appreciated!

Hmmm, sadly I'm not much help when it comes to icons. I'm new to the icon world, as well. About 3 days ago I discovered some LJ sites with icons people have made for Firefly, so I took some of those and they were my first fandom icons... And I discovered that apparently there are etiquette rules for icons! Sometimes people purposefully make icons for other people to use, as long as the creator gets credit, so then you have to give them credit in the file info when you upload the icon... Check the Live Journal thread on the quill for the explanation of how (I asked about it a few days ago). So if you saw an icon you like, it should have the info about who created it, and then you could try to find that person's LJ and see if the icon is available for public use.

I'm sorry I'm not more useful with icon suggestions or places to find icons. This may be a better question for more fandom-adept Quillers and subbers. Several people are very talented at making their own icons.

Since I'm talking about icons, I'll use one of the Firefly ones I adopted as of a few days ago!

She is awesome! If you are of age, you should even join her slash community slashiet. It is mostly R/S. Bear in mind though that some of the art are smutty, so have an open mind. Also, IF you are older than 17. :)

Anyway, I'm Fleurdeelis on the Quill and I'm coming by to friend you, if that is alright with you? I know you are the newest Master around, so congrats, too! :D

Ooooh, thank you for the link! I'm definitely older than 17, and I do love some good R/S, so it was an excellent suggestion. Thank you thank you thank you! :)

One small disappointment, though: The pic of R & S in the Astronomy Tower no longer seems to be available--and that is exactly the one I was hoping to look at! :( I dunno if you've read Canis M.'s "Waiting for Ganymede", but it has a delightful scene up in the Astronomy Tower, and I hoping to draw some nice parallels. ;) Any idea if this pic is still around somewhere else?

Thanks for the congrats, and I have friended you, too. You're from Singapore, right? I looked at your LJ and saw some gorgeous pics of you and your family in traditional dress. I love kurung and kebaya! I went to Malaysia in 1998 and came back with one of each, and I think they're gorgeous. I've never been to Singapore (aside from the airport), but I would really love to someday.

Awww, thanks! Yep, I'm from Singapore. It's so cool that you got yourself a kurung and kebaya! :D

Hmm, it's no longer available? You can see it here or I saved it on my server for you, here. I hope this is the Astronomy Tower picture you were referring to. :)

Yay, you rock. Thanks for putting the pic on your server. It is now safely downloaded onto my computer. It's no longer in the first location you linked, because the Photobucket bandwidth was exceeded.

*wistful sigh at the lurvely pic*

No problem! Glad you liked it, and it is safely tucked in your computer now. Hee! :D

I saved the fanfic under Bookmark, and am going to read it later. :)

Loving your icon!!! Yum, Brokeback Mountain....

Oh, cool, do tell me if you enjoy "Waiting for Ganymede." Have you ever read anything by Canis M.? It's kinda nice to read her stuff in order, although each story does stand alone. If you're interested in going in order, go here or here (I like the format in the first like better) and read starting from the top. If you're looking for the best ones, my recommendation is "A Particular Affinity" --> "Out of the Woods" --> "Waiting for Ganymede" --> "Care and Feeding" --> "A Fearsome Business" (which is six chapters long; the rest are one-shots).

Happy slashing, and do let me know if you enjoy her stories, as well as Brokeback Mountain!

Thanks for the recs! :D

The only slash I read would be shoebox_project. It's so... lovely. :D

But I did enjoy Waiting for Ganymede, so I will definitely check out her stories! Ever since Shoebox, I've been corrupted by slash. But only R/S. Although, many are in love with H/D, especially Underwater Light.
